Nick and Alison are excellent, caring hosts. The house and bedrooms are lovely, clean and comfortable. The breakfast menu is vast using local produce and catering for everybody’s dietary needs. Onsite free parking is a bonus.
Tips:Lyndhurst House is in a prime location. Everything you need is in a short walking distance away. Plenty of restaurants, public houses, tea shops, bike hire, the list is endless. Excellent location - an easy walk into Lyndhurst. Exceptionally clean. Large comfy bed. Free use of luxurious Arbonne toiletries. Large shower. Good breakfast with plenty of options, using good local produce. Friendly hosts. Car parking at front of property.
Tips:Three good local walks around Lyndhurst. Also a lovely walk to Brockenhurst, where there was was a good bakers/pastry shop. Used hop on and hop off bus several times. Both Thai restaurants in Lyndhurst were good and reasonably priced. Went to Surfing Moo Moo for an anniversary dinner that was also lovely. Best tea, coffee etc. that we had all week was at the Lyndhurst Coffee House - nice owners too.

Nick & Alison great hosts, very accommodating from the point of booking. Great to have parking on site, rooms lovely, modern, extremely clean and comforting. Bathroom/shower lovely and roomy, good quality towels etc and with refreshments aplenty, local produce used for cooked breakfasts which were delicious and varied in choice. Nothing too much trouble and we had the most amazingly lovely stay. Looking forward to our next stay to explore more of the forest.
Tips:Great location, parking on site makes for a great place to stay. Rooms are wonderfully furnished and kept clean and tidy. Hosts are friendly and accommodating, have local knowledge and can advise on places to eat and visit. Lots of places to eat from cafes to restaurants, pubs etc in local Lyndhurst, less than 5 minutes walk from B&B. Booking recommended in advance for places to eat. Great walks around Lyndhurst. Beaulieu is a lovely local place to visit, lots to see and do. Milford on Sea nice views from car park/ice creams/toilet facilities, access to sea. Brockenhurst for the ponies, lots of new forest parks/parking areas for picnics.

Everything was perfect from start to finish. We stayed in The Sheep Pen and The Horse Box and loved both. The cleanliness was exceptional and every little box was ticked for us. We wanted for nothing. Alison’s breakfasts are delicious and Nicks recommendations were great. We found this hotel by chance and feel incredibly lucky to have done so. Already planning a return.
Tips:A mooch around Lyndhurst is a must - literally a 5 minute walk along the road. We had a fab Sunday Roast in The New Forest Inn. The Rhinefield Ornamental Drive is very close. We really liked our lunch at The Mill, Gordleton. Quite a spectacular setting.

Lyndhurst House is very central to pubs, restaurants etc. The staff were extremely friendly & relaxed which made us more relaxed. It was clean & tidy & in these difficult times had hand sanitizers available. Bed was exceptionally comfortable which is great for me as I have a bad back.
Tips:Prezzo was very reasonable as was the Mailmans Arms. We walked around the golf course as we had not booked to go to Beaulieu so suggest book before travel.

Only reason for the 4 on location was that it is on the main road through Lyndhurst which I did not realise and the traffic is continuous. But for location in the New Forest its ideal.
Tips:Waterloo pub is lovely for an evening meal and very walkable. Go past the Ferrari garage for the best walk from the BnB, we only found this out as we drove home.

We had a lovely stay in Lyndhurst house, our hosts were very attentive and breakfast was lovely! Rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. Nice and close to the village so just a quick walk to the high street. Great for walking routes and very reasonably priced! We would definitely book again!!
Tips:This area has some truly fabulous walks through the forest, a route from Lyndhurst to Brockenhurst was a favourite of ours. We absolutely loved our Italian meal at Enzee in the village, could not fault the food or service! We also enjoyed a Sunday roast in the Fox and Hounds which was equally lovely and a fabulous cocktail in the crown if you are feeling fancy! A trip to Beaulieu is a must and our utter favourite experience was with The New Forest Activities- paddle to the pub was brilliant, the staff are so informative and friendly, truly remarkable experience along the river! Everywhere is very COVID aware and staff in every place we visited were very good at adhering to guide ones and regulations- felt very safe
