A beautiful room, softly decorated to offer a little luxury whilst still being sympathetic to the building and surrounding countryside. The bathroom was modern with traditional style fixtures and was impeccably clean with a large bath, over bath shower and super hot water. Pub bar maintained a local feel with a good selection of drinks available and a lovely outside seating area visited by donkeys which for wildlife lovers is a massive draw. Restaurant was comfortable, with an old school soundtrack playing in background, interesting photography and paintings displayed and attentive friendly staff. Food was some of the best I’ve had and is a credit and a massive draw for anyone who enjoys finer dining without feeling pretentious in any way. I will not hesitate recommending The East End Arms to friends/family and will definitely be returning. The only tiny thing which I’d ask was milk in room, although asking for fresh is no issue in evening; I’m up early and didn’t want to wander into bar/dining area when first out of bed to get some for tea/coffee. Not something I’ve added to my public review, as it sounds nitpicky I know! It’s just a small thing which could be nice to have. I can’t thank you and the team enough for such a lovely stay. Best wishes.

Plan walks before arriving to avoid missing out on the beautiful surroundings! A visit to the motor museum and Bucklers Hard for a bit of history was pleasant. As was the antiques shop in Lyndhurst.

From the moment we walked into this pub I knew we were going to have a good weekend - the decor was lovely, the staff delightful and the food amazing- the room we stayed in was spacious and clean. This was a brilliant find for us in an excellent location for visiting Lymington.

Exbury Gardens is beautiful and a must visit.

Wonderful staff, cant do enough to help with things. Food in restaurant is amazing - well worth eating in.

Walking into Lyymington is about 3 miles and can be done on road. IoW ferry is closer than this as on the edge of town (worth doing also).

Delightful pub with nice atmosphere. Staff were very enthusiastic and couldn’t do enough to help - seem to really enjoy their job! Great marquees for outside dining. Good food and excellent breakfast.

Chose it because if proximity to Lymington. It is close, but feels a world away in a peaceful corner of the Forest & easy access to the coast.

Had a really nice stay here, the landlady was superb as there is no TV in the bar and 4 of us wanted to watch the football so she did no more than fetch us a TV and let us arrange the furniture as if it was our living room, fantastic. Good breakfast, quality food in the restaurant, clean rooms and staff very friendly, would come again.

Lovely area, close to Beaulieu Motor Museum, Lymington - which has a ferry to the Isle of Wight, of course the New Forest. We ate on site but there are plenty of other pub / restaurants in the area

I was overwhelmed by the beautiful and clean room. For some reason I was expecting far less for a room over a pub. The carpet felt new to walk on, the bed was so comfortable with a snuggling duvet. Expresso coffee machine, fresh milk, proper tea bags. Great shower. Overwhelmingly clean. The service in the restaurant was great with awesome food. A truly memorable experience and we will most certainly return.

You need nothing more than the new forest to wall, cycle and explore.

Excellent rural pub with super beer and food - the room was totally to our requirements Service exceeded our expectations

We used it as a base to do part of the Solent Way walking from Milford on Sea thru to Hythe over two days

Very comfortable bed. Well looked after by the helpful friendly staff. Excellent food for breakfast and dinner. Fine draught ales as well as good wines.

Buckler’s Hard is a nice visit the riverside walk takes you to Beaulieu which is very pretty. Milford-on-Sea has lovely views across to the Isle of Wight. Lymington has a nice quayside and Lyndhurst is a pretty but busy town.

My husband and i had a wonderful stay. When we arrived we were greeted by Ashley with a big warm welcome.she asked us if we would like to have dinner the next evening,we were so glad we experience the dinner evening the food was excellent all freshly made with very good prices. When we were having dinner Ashley came to our table and ask us how our day was and if we needed anything. All the bar staff and breakfast staff were very friendly. We had a lovely time. Thank you

Comfy room and bed (no 5). Good shower. Although directly over outside seating area, it wasn’t busy so not noisy. We had dinner on one night (stayed 2), very delicious as was breakfast. Friendly staff and social distancing measures observed.

We ate one night at the Fleur De Lys in Pilley, thoroughly recommend - very old pub with top notch dining. Exbury Gardens is close and worth a visit as is ride on steam train.

We really liked and felt comfortable in your pub with rooms. We did feel, however, that even taking into account the virus, your breakfast could have been improved with the provision of a few yogurts, a bowl of fruit salad (using your own spoon to serve) or grapefruits, and muesli (missing one morning). This would all be in line with your excellent evening meal.

We found Exbury Gardens really lovely, and the little train, and we would visit again, especially in May for the azaleas.

Our time with you was spot on, from start to finish, warm welcome when you arrive, room had everything you needed, on - suite, with lovely fresh towels, tea/ coffee/ bottled water, the fan was an extra bonus. East - End - Arms , great little place to stay, great location for exploring the new forest and surrounding villages and towns. You’ll find the staff helpful in every way, we ate there each night as the food was exceptional, and price wise reasonable, rooms are a tad small, but have everything you need and more. They are spot on with COVID-19 in every way. The place is owned by the bass player of famous band

We stayed for four nights and would highly recommend the whole establishment. Rooms were well furnished and very relaxing, in fact the bed was too comfortable. The only comment I would make is the Continental breakfast, which had a very limited menu, no soft fruits and yogurts were only put out on the first morning. The main breakfast however was well presented and cooked to perfection with a varied choice.

NO buses pass the East End Arms so if you leave your car you have to get a taxi into Lymington which takes about 15 minutes or walk. Lovely relaxing area though.

Booking in advance is a must, we have failed to get in several times over the last few years. Food excellent with a small restaurant. Very picturesque walks right on your door step, Lymington just a mile or so down the road.

Great location. Food was sensational - both dinner and full english breakfast. Only downsides were the mattresses were a bit soft for us and the bathroom radiator could have done with a clean.

You don’t need to go far for great food - it’s downstairs! Only a mile from the sea so some great walks too.

Lovely country pub with a cosy, log-fire-warmed, bar. We visited for the New Year’s Eve Gatsby themed evening which was very enjoyable with delicious canapés during the evening. The staff were unfailingly welcoming and helpful and a great evening was had by all. We stayed overnight in a very comfortable, recently decorated room and enjoyed a full breakfast the following morning before driving the short distance into Lymington for a walk around the charming town.

Great atmosphere in restaurant, excellent menu choice & quality of food. Relaxing sofa area for glass or 2 wine in front of log fire before dinner. Small, cosy drinkers bar with real ale. Brilliant to see this was busy with locals & guests. Room was well-furnished & clean. A great stay. Expect to return soon.

Go for short walk or drive from Inn down Tanners Lane to coast. Drive to Keyhaven & walk to Hurst Castle via spithead. Superb views across to IoW.
