5th August 2016:

We had a lovely stay. After a long journey it was nice to have a warm welcome. The cottage was very clean and the cot was already set up for our little girl. It is set down a long track way with an automatic gate, making it so safe and relaxing with a nearly two year old. It was also extremely quite.

Tips:

We only had a short break, but enjoyed taking our little one to Peppa pig world which is really easy to get to. She also had her first pony ride at long down animal park. Seeing the new forest ponies was amazing and we also went to a deer viewing spot. Ask the owners for the best places to go. On our first day we explored by ourselves, but the routes they gave us where really good.

28th July 2016:

The Cottage was extremely well presented, modern with simple decor. It was very clean, with a home to home feel. There was plenty of space for us and our 2 1/2 year old son, and was equipped with everything we needed. The owners were accommodating and welcoming, and dealt with any requests with no fuss. The location of the cottage was just perfect, with frequent sounds of sheep, birds and owls, as opposed to the usual every day town noises. A lovely find, and we will not hesitate in revisiting.

Tips:

Short drive to Paultons Park and Peppa Pig World (15 mins max). Lovely beach at Mudeford Spit about 40 mins away. Park at the Quay and catch a small ferry across to a sandy beach, with views of the Isle of White. Lots of local pubs serving traditional pub food, at reasonable prices.

17th August 2013:

Wonderful: clean, fresh and airy. We loved the space and light, and felt a long way fom anywhere (even though we weren't!), which made for a very peaceful and relaxing stay. The hosts, Sue and Brian, were fantastic: hospitable and friendly, without being intrusive.

Tips:

In no particular order: Mottisfont House and gardens, which were great for adults and children alike; our son loved the ferry trip to the Isle of Wight from Lymington (as we did too!); and the New Forest was wonderful (but the summer traffic was a nightmare round Lyndhurst!). Food-wise, the Mayfly just north of Stockbridge on the River Test was very good and child-friendly. Romsey has lots of nice places for lunch.
